Summer Knitting

It’s been a while since I posted anything on my blog. I apologize. It’s been a very busy time for me and my family.
In the shop, I have been getting ready for Canada’s big 150 birthday. Knitting Canadian flags and dish clothes with a beautiful maple leaf in red of course.
I’m currently working on the Muskoka Shawl in the Hudson Bay colours for a sample. This pattern is free on Ravelry and it’s a fun knit. Of course I’m hooked on the New Sugarbush Yarns which I sell in the shop. I love this yarn. Merino wool and so beautiful to work with. I’m hooked on shawls. Someone asked me if I wear shawls and no I don’t but I love knitting them. Maybe it’s time I started. Shawls are in and I have many patterns saved on Ravelry.
Ponchos are also popular for the Fall weather ahead of us. So much fun to knit or crochet.
Sock knitting is also popular and I carry many different sock yarns in the shop.
I was asked if I knit in the summer. Yes, I knit all year round. I know some people stop knitting or crocheting in the summer as they are going away or busy in their gardens. This is the time to knit for Christmas. It will be here! Time flies!
I must get back to my Muskoka Shawl. It’s a good day to put your feet up and work on a project. The weekend looks rainy.
Happy Knitting!

So happy to see the knitting world embrace Canada’s celebrations. You’re lucky you have such a pretty flag and the beautiful Hudson Bay colors to inspire!
