The Wonderful Wallaby, A Hooded Sweater for All Ages

The Wonderful Wallaby. I don’t know if anyone who reads this post has actually knit this pattern. It’s pretty straight forward. I am knitting this for my little great nephew in Calgary. I love the pattern, but I have never knit a sweater in the round from the bottom up. I’m at the part where you join the sleeves. You knit the sleeves separately and then you add them in, on the round. This is something I have never done. I hope it works for me as my nephew will grow faster then knitting this little sweater.
If anyone has any hints as to joining the sleeves, feel free to email me on this. I hope the pattern works for me.

My Dad is now in Port Perry in a retirement home. He is in good hands out there. There is an half hour drive to see him, so I don’t get there until my day off.
My Mom sees him almost everyday or every other day. She hopes he’ll be transferred to Oshawa soon.

Well I must get back to my Wonderful Wallaby. Happy Knitting!

I have knit one like that Leslie but the sleeves were left on stitch holders so easy to pick up the stitches.

      Thanks Denise,

It’s very tedious, But I will focus on this sweater today and hopefully get ahead instead of behind.

Hi I have knitted many sweaters bottom up, I am knitting one at the moment. When you add the sleeves make sure they are rights side up. Once you add them to the body it is a bit tight for a few rows but will work out. Just follow your pattern!

      Hi Lauren,
I don’t have the pattern in the shop. I ordered it online. It may be on Ravelry. The company is Cottage Creations.
I must get working on it as my nephew will be a teenager before I finish it.LOL
      Best,
      Leslie
